Operating theatres at Lautoka Hospital to be upgraded by year’s end

There are plans to upgrade the Neurological and Cardiological Operating Theatres at the Lautoka Hospital by the end of this year.

Ministry of Health spokesperson Sunil Chandra said the theatres are being upgraded to provide better services to the patients.

Chandra said to create a proper hygienic environment, the Ministry is also looking at upgrading the kitchen area with new utensils and proper food storage.

According to the Health Ministry, the cost of the project is $12.5 million and they are targeting to finish the project by the end of this year.
