The old Raiwaqa market is expected to be turned into a supermarket and a sea food supermarket.
This has been confirmed by Suva City Council Special Administrator, Chandu Umaria who said the area has been leased out and an investor is redeveloping the site.
He said the sea food supermarket will also consist of an aquarium where people will be able to choose the sea food from.
The construction work is expected to start next week.
