The National Disaster Management Office has sent out an advisory to all the Divisional Commissioners for a need to have officers on the ground to ensure that there is greater accountability on the distribution of rations.
NDMO Director Anare Leweniqila says the officials should focus on everyone that is in need of rations.
Leweniqila says they are still abiding by the instructions of the Prime Minister to ensure that all evacuees return safely to their homes.
He says they will also need to ensure that the Ministry of Health gives the clearance before families are moved back to their homes and for schools to start.
