Health Minister Jone Usamate has called on nurses to spend less time on social media and more time on reading.
Speaking at the Fiji Medical Nurses Practitioners 4th Annual General Meeting Usamate said it is very crucial for nurses to spend more time on books to make them have the right attitude, knowledge and skills to serve the public.
Usamate says learning is a major part of the development of the Health Ministry.
He says nurses have the biggest part of the health sector and they should know knowledge and development are fundamental as it is important to have a positive attitude towards learning.
He says nurses have also dedicated their lives to others and he thanked them in maintaining that commitment.
