A number of houses are surrounded by floodwaters in Waidamudamu at 10 miles, Nausori.
A resident, Ramiza Khan told Fijivillage that heavy downpour earlier today resulted in the flash flooding.
Khan says flood waters have not entered any homes however they had to walk through flood waters to the main road.
She says that the flash flooding is due to blocked drains.
Meanwhile, a trough of low pressure with associated cloud and showers remains slow moving over Fiji.
It is expected to affect the group till later tomorrow.
People can expect occasional rain, heavy at times with few thunderstorms over Kadavu, Lomaiviti and Lau group, the eastern parts and interior of the other larger islands.
Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding.
