Villagers of Nuku Island in Serua are now looking forward to the upgrading of Nuku Secondary School’s water reticulation system after a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Prime Minister’s Office and the Water Authority of Fiji.
Nuku Secondary School Principal Emoni Tuvui said the school faces severe water supply problems, especially if there is less rainfall.
Tuvui said when that happens, they have to request for water carting assistance or students will have to be sent home and they also have boarding students to think about.
Work is expected to start March next year.
