Not everything that we do is for the general elections but what we do is for the development of the country.

These were the words of the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama during a talanoa session in Natavea Village in Naitasiri when questioned by the Vunivalu of Vuniduba, Ratu Lepani Roko on when their new road will be constructed as money was allocated in the past years and elections is almost near and nothing has been done.

Bainimarama says that election talks should not be brought up in these sort of discussions.

Meanwhile, Roko says that $500,000 was allocated for the road.

FRA confirms that in this financial year there is no allocation for the construction of a new road as there are other plans to build roads that is pending construction.

FRA say that the money is always going to be kept with them until the time that they will be using it for the road.

Meanwhile, Roko also raised concerns on water problems in Taulevu.

He had requested for a water pump to be placed in Taulevu as this would ease the struggles of water problems.

Roko had also highlighted to the Prime Minister that they usually pay for the carting of water to their village.

The Prime Minister has instructed relevant authorities to look into these issues.
