The Health Ministry does not have a timeline on when construction of the new 80 bed Nausori Health Centre will be completed.
Health Minister Rosy Akbar told parliament she cannot give an exact timeline but says the government is committed to completing the project.
Akbar says they expect to see the project progressing soon.
The Opposition raised concerns about the delay in the project with Opposition MP, Niko Nawaikula questioning why money was allocated for a project they could not complete.
$2million was allocated in the 2016 National budget for the construction of the new Nausori Health Centre.
The new health centre will be built on Vunivivi Hill near Nausori town.
It will have a General Out Patient Section, 2 Operation Theatres, X‑ray Department, Dental Services and Laboratories.
