Student activist, Jope Tarai who had told Radio New Zealand that student activists like him are used to having their phones tapped locally, said that he does not have any evidence to support his statement.
Tarai claimed that he had a conversation with CID police officers last year where he was told that some people were listening to some phone conversations.
When questioned on the claims made to Radio NZ, Tarai said he does not have any evidence or recording to prove his claim.
