No charges have been laid on the three suspects who are in custody for the alleged murder of a 40-year-old labourer in Tiri Road, Labasa, last week.
Police confirmed that a 40-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man were taken in last week and another suspect was taken in yesterday.
All remain in custody.
The victim’s body was found floating in the Wailevu mangrove swamp last week.
Fijivillage has been reliably informed that the 40-year-old suspect is the victim’s ex-wife while the 43-year-old man is her defacto partner.
The investigation file has been submitted to the DPP’s Office for sanctioning.
