Police have made no arrests in relation to the case where a 52-year-old woman was beaten up and robbed of her jewellery at her home in Brown Street in broad daylight.
The incident occurred on the 22nd of last month when Shakuntala Nandan had just gotten in her house from hanging clothes outside at around 10am Thursday when she heard noises from another room.
She says man who was in the house punched her in the face.
The woman who has a prosthetic leg was punched and kicked several times before she could run out of the house and called for assistance.
This has been tragic for Nandan as she had lost her house in a fire in June this year.
When questioned on whether there are any suspects in the case, Police have said that investigations continue.
