Nisar Ali Shah new Fiji Buses Operators Association President

Nisar Ali Shah of KBL Buses is the new Fiji Buses Operators Association President.

Shah who has served as a Senior Vice President was elected at the Fiji Bus Operators Annual General Meeting at Novotel in Lami.

Shah has called for unity among bus operators despite their individual differences for the greater good of the industry.

Outgoing President, Richard Lal of PA Lal Group was then elected as the first Vice President while Ajit Singh of Tacirua Transport is the second Vice President.

The members of Executive Committee of the Association were reelected.

Rohit Latchan of KR Latchan remains the General Secretary, his Assistant Secretaries are Edwin Chand of Parmod Enterprises and Zahid Wahab of Sunbeam Buses.

This is Latchan's eleventh year as General Secretary.

The Treasurer Dhirendra Singh of Taunovo Buses and the Assistant Treasurers Ritesh Nair of Nairs Transport and Arun Lal of Intercities Services have also been relected.

Jack Kumar of Nasese Buses and Mohammed Imtiaz Gul of Coastline Transport have also been elected to the Executive Committee.

Bus operators have also adopted a resolution that all members will have their accounts audited from the next financial year.
