Minister for Infrastructure, Parveen Bala says nine out of ten jetties that were damaged by Tropical Cyclone Winston are currently open for use after temporary repairs.
Opposition member, Salote Radrodro says there must be immediate attention given to the repair works and to look at long‑term repairs.
Bala says the temporary repairs to date have cost $700,000 and this figure will increase.
He says they have submitted their project under the Fiji Roads Authority's program for all these jetties to be repaired.
