Next Monday will mark the one year anniversary when the strongest Cyclone in the Southern Hemisphere made land fall in Fiji and left major devastation.
The government will mark the date with a commemoration that will be held at Albert Park next Monday.
National Disaster Management Office Director Akapusi Tuifagalele says that Cyclone Winston affected about 60% of the population, took 44 lives and the cost of the damage was around $1.9 billion.
Tuifagalele says during the commemoration day they will remember the 44 people who died during Cyclone Winston.
