2015 to 2018 will be the demanding and challenging years for the Ministry of Education as new reforms will be undertaken to elevate the level of quality in every aspect of the education system.
Minister Dr Mahendra Reddy said the reforms will ensure that the education system in Fiji is robust and dynamic and reflect on the core business of education which is teaching and learning.
While launching the Ministry’s 2015 to 2018 Education Sector Strategic Development Plan and the 2015 Annual Corporate and Business Plan today, Reddy said that their strategic development plan is important as it provides a sense of direction and outlines measurable goals.
Reddy said the strategic planning is a tool that is useful for guiding day to day decisions and also for evaluating progress and changing approaches when moving forward.
Meanwhile, Reddy added that their Corporate Plan outlines the Ministry’s priorities to open to all children the opportunity for steady and productive learning.
He added that it will also provide guidelines for education to make individuals the source of progress and thus to realize the promise of a free and peaceful life in a globalized world.
