Work has started in 10 miles, Nausori where a recycling quarry will be opened by State Transport Limited.
State Transport Limited’s Director, Moeen Ali said they will be producing garden soil from their quarry which is in high demand.
He says people are looking for garden soil to do farming at their homes.
Ali said they will collect unused greens, shred it and later recycle it after its decomposed.
He said it will also be a relief to people as they will be able to dump their unused greens at the quarry.
Work on the half million dollar project is expected to finish by the end of this year and around 20 people are expected to be employed at the quarry.
