The school management has also requested the government to provide assistance in cementing part of the Toga Riverbank.
The Attorney General highlighted that the impacts of climate change are evident as the river bank draws closer to the school blocks and has also stated that Fiji will soon see the benefit of Fiji’s presidency over COP23.
Part of the school block is situated just a few metres from the Toga river and floods have washed away parts of the river bank over the years.
The school management has advised Sayed-Khaiyum that there is a danger that the whole school block can be destroyed if necessary protection work is not carried out on the river bank.
Sayed-Khaiyum also officiated at the school's prize-giving ceremony last night.
