The new Land Transport Authority CEO is expected to be appointed by the end of this year.
LTA Board Chairman Vijay Maharaj says the position has been advertised and they will be considering both local and international applicants.
The Chairman says Apinko Vaurasi who is a board member is the acting as the CEO of LTA.
Maharaj says the former CEO of LTA Naisa Tuinaceva had over three months of leave pending and they had decided to send him on leave because of the amount of leave available.
When asked by Fijivillage if Tuinaceva will be considered for the position, Maharaj says Tuinaceva is welcome to apply if he feels that he can compete with the rest of the applicants.
