Good news for 102 people of Naiviteitei village in Bureta, Ovalau, as they received a new 10,000 litre water tank.
Assistant Village Headman Eveni Sagaleka said although the 26 families have piped water, this water tank will assist them whenever it rains.
Assistant Health Minister Veena Bhatnagar hand over the water tank that was donated by the LDS Charity after a request was made last year.
Meanwhile, two new wheelchairs have also been donated to the Levuka Hospital.
The $3,000 wheelchairs were donated by the LDS Charity.
Bhatnagar said it is pleasing to note that religious organisations are providing such timely donations apart from spiritual support to our people.
The Health Ministry continues to welcome such support from non-governmental support as such further complements the work and resources that Fiji Government is already putting towards health services.
