The law forbids us to talk about politics forty eight hours before the elections, never before has this been the case.
These are the words of National Federation Party candidate Lenora Qereqeretabua who was speaking at Rishikul Primary School last night.
She says the electoral laws forbid them as candidates, political parties and members of the public from discussing politics 48 hours before polling starts on Wednesday.
Qereqeretabua says she thought it was just for the candidates but it is for members of the public too.
She says these are the kinds of restrictions we are living under now and she says these are the restrictions that NFP should kick out.
Qereqeretabua has claimed that a FijiFirst official was discouraging people from attending the NFP campaign meeting in Labasa.
