SODELPA parliamentarians Niko Nawaikula and Mosese Bulitavu got accused of going against the SODELPA leadership in parliament today as the Minister for Fisheries Semi Koroilavesau took questions on the Ministry’s plans for the Makogai Research Station.
Koroilavesau hit out at what he called politics of fear being preached by Bulitavu and Nawaikula.
He claimed that these two parliamentarians went against the SODELPA leadership in the presence of two paramount chiefs - Na Marama Na Roko Tui Dreketi Ro Teimumu Kepa and Tui Cakau Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu.
Niko Nawaikula then called for a point of order asking for Koroilavesau to withdraw what he said.
Nawaikula said Koroilavesau was misrepresenting parliament and that he needed to get out if he could not handle the debate.
The Speaker of Parliament did not make a ruling on whether Koroilavesau should withdraw his comment.
