Defending Coca-Cola Games champions, Natabua High School and Jasper Williams High School are confident they can retain their titles this year.
Boys division defending champion, Natabua High School has selected 67 male athletes to defend their title.
Prominent athletes that will feature for Natabua High School are
Waisale Dausoko, Junior Boys sprinters James Cox, Tyrone Chambers and Jope Loloma, High Jumper George Vokiti, Isikeli Waseaqali, Paula Nasara, Seveci Matanitobua and Tiko Batibasaga.
Natabua High School created history last year when they won the Coca‑Cola games Boys title with 17 gold, 11 silver and 5 bronze.
Senior Athlete Waisale Dausoko says the pressure will be on them to perform but difficulties faced by the team has encouraged them to work hard.
Defending girls champion, Jasper Williams High School will field 60 athletes for the Coca-Cola Games.
They have retained most of their athletes from last year.
Athletes that are expected to lead the Jasper Williams High School campaign are Meresiana Vukici, Francis Kurivitu, Mereseini Naidau, Alesi Finau, Venina Turaganisolevu, Makereta Naulu, Lusiana Ratulevu and Rateri Matevakatini.
Jasper Williams High School won the Coca-Cola Games last year with 21 gold, 9 silver and 6 bronze.
The 2016 Coca-Cola Games will start at 4 this afternoon.
The 100 metres and 400 metres heats as well as Round 1 of field events will be held today.
