Trying to cross a flooded river during the floods will be a thing of the past as villagers of Nasuva outside Labasa town now have a bridge.
Village Headman, Aliki Draunimasi said the government funded the new bridge worth over $100,000 under the Non Cane Access Road project.
He added the new bridge which has been built after 40 years of struggle, is a great help for the farmers to take their produce to the Labasa market which is 7km away.
Draunimasi highlights that the children also do not have to cross the river while going to school.
