The Nadi Weather Office says the heavy rain warning previously in force for Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Lomaiviti, Yasawa and Northern Lau Group is now cancelled.
The heavy rain alert previously in force for the rest of Fiji is also cancelled.
A trough of low pressure remains slow moving over Fiji with associated active rain bands having drifted south-eastwards away from the Fiji Group.
This means that occasional showers are expected over the eastern parts and interior of the larger islands. Isolated thunderstorms and heavy falls in the afternoon or evening can be expected over most places.
A strong wind warning remains in force for Northern Vanua Levu Waters, Yasawa Waters, Northern Koro Sea, Kadavu and Vatu‑I‑Ra Passage.
