A 31-year-old man of Nabua is expected to be produced in the Suva Magistrates Court later today after he was found with methamphetamine.
A raid was conducted at the accused’s shop last week after investigators received information that he was the alleged receiver of stolen items.
A large amount of glue was also found at the shop in Nabua.
Police Chief of Investigations and Intelligence ACP Henry Brown said this was the outcome of investigations in relation to a number of robberies in the Southern Division where 5 men have been charged and their case is before the courts.
The shopkeeper was arrested two days after the raid where the white crystals believed to be illicit drugs were found in his possession.
Other items alleged to have been proceeds from the sale of illicit drugs were also seized.
Investigators have also discovered that the man does not hold a valid license to sell glue.
Investigators have been tasked to track down those receiving stolen items and members of the public are reminded to be cautious about receiving or purchasing items if they suspect them to be stolen.
