New Zealand's Foreign Affairs Ministry has reviewed its advice for travellers heading to Fiji and added warnings about opportunistic crime.
It says it conducted a routine review of its travel advisory for Fiji this week and the risk level remains at normal.
Radio NZ reports that New Zealanders have been asked to exercise normal safety and security precautions but they're being advised to avoid poorly lit areas at night, particularly in Suva.
It also warns that foreigners may be the targets of opportunistic crime, such as theft, robbery and home invasion.
