The Fiji Labour Party and the National Federation Party believe they can enter into negotiations if it becomes necessary to form a coalition government.
On Straight Talk last night, we asked FLP candidate Dr. Rohit Kishore whether the FLP can work with NFP if he becomes the leader of the Fiji Labour Party.
He replied by saying that the Labour Party can work with any political party after negotiating common policies.
Also on the same talkback, NFP candidate Pramod Rae said NFP and SODELPA rejected FLP leader Mahendra Chaudhry’s proposal in the United Front for Democratic Fiji on a pre‑election coalition.
He added that NFP is out to win the elections on their own but if the need arises they are ready to talk to FLP despite what happened in the past.
Both Dr. Kishore and Pramod Rae also had an exchange of words on the future of their parties towards the end of the show.
