Police investigation in relation to the murder of 14-year-old Ashna Devi of Viria, Naitasiri has come to a halt as the prime suspect is still admitted at the CWM hospital in a critical condition.
The post mortem result has revealed that the girl received severe cuts on her neck.
Devi who was a form three student was found dead by Police officers in a vacant house in Viria last Friday.
Police also discovered a 35-year-old man in the house with severe injuries.
Director CID, Kishore Kumar said the motive behind the murder will only be known when the 35-year-old man recovers and is questioned by Police.
Ashna Devi was reported missing from her home last Thursday and checks made at all likely places proved futile.
The 35-year-old man of Wainiika settlement was reported missing from home last Wednesday.
Police received information on Friday that the two were seen occupying a vacant house.
