A motion to decrease the $300 school boarding fees per term at Jasper Williams High School was defeated in the Methodist Church Conference today.
While moving the motion, a representative from the Yasawa-I-Ra Circuit highlighted that most of the students from Yasawa attend Jasper Williams High School because it is a Christian school.
He says that they are complaining that the $300 per term fees is too expensive.
While responding to the motion, School Chairman, Reverend Immanuel Rueben says the $300 per term is just like one student paying $3.33 a day.
Reverend Rueben says that this caters for breakfast, lunch, dinner, electricity and water bills.
He says these students and their families are blessed to be only paying $300 compared to other schools.
