A mother charged for the murder of her newborn baby has been further remanded by the Suva High Court.
It is alleged that Tavenisa Raceva suffocated her newborn baby in Vakabalea, Navua.
The state lawyer informed the court that it was the conduct of Raceva that caused the infant’s death.
She also informed the court that no post mortem report was done however the state will be relying on the caution interview statement.
The trial has been set from the 19th to the 23rd of November this year.
