Internationally acclaimed New Zealand actor Temuera Morrison will be the special guest and main speaker at the Viti Spinal Injuries Association of Fiji Old Skool Ball that will be held on the 22nd of July at the Grand Pacific Hotel.
Morrison has starred in movies such as Once Were Warriors, Star Wars and was the voice of Chief Tui, the father of the title character in Disney’s Moana and has also starred in Shortland Street and will also be part of Aquaman.
Morrison who will be doing the work free of charge says he is pleased and honoured to be part of this event to highlight and encourage support for people in Fiji living with spinal injuries.
The actor says he is keen to raise awareness and raise funds that will go towards the work of the Viti Spinal Injuries Association of Fiji, in among other things, building and restoring the homes and services of severely disabled people living in their own homes and villages.
Viti Spinal Injuries Association of Fiji President Paul McGoon expressed his appreciation for Morrison’s support and called on corporate bodies and entities in Fiji to support this very important event.
The event will feature amazing auction prizes including travel, holidays, restaurants, and sports memorabilia including an All Blacks jersey signed and donated by Richie McCaw, and other memorabilia from Eric Rush and other sporting legends.
Also featuring on the night will be spectacular entertainment coordinated by Igelese Ete with the Pasifika Voices choir who will sing songs from Moana.
