Over 10 baby hammerhead sharks were found dead in a culvert near Bailey Bridge yesterday.
Wildlife Conservation Society field specialist Waisea Nasilisili who made the discovery says he was very upset with the sight.
Nasilisili says he thinks that someone must have used a gill net at the mouth of the Rewa River which is a popular breeding spot for hammerhead sharks.
Nasilisili says they had been conducting a social economic survey when they found the baby sharks.
