64% of people that took part in the ANZ MoneyMinded financial education program are now saving $50 a week.
This is according to an independent review of the financial education program by the University of the South Pacific.
USP had interviewed people who had participated in the program.
More than 7,000 Fijians have participated in the ANZ MoneyMinded program since it was launched in Fiji in 2011.
The report also found that 90% of the participants were now paying their bills on time and 43% were changing bank accounts to better suit their needs.
It also found that 13% were frequently running short of money before their next pay day.
Head of Corporate Responsibility, Micro Finance and Rural Banking, Sitiveni Marovia says the participants were able to provide in a better way for their families.
He says they plan to expand the program by increasing the number of accredited financial literacy trainers.
