More details revealed in the search for the 3-year-old girl and captain of the boat

It has now been revealed that the nine people who on board the boat that capsized near Makogai Island yesterday morning were from Waitovu village in Levuka.

Seven people on board the boat were rescued but the 3-year-old girl and the captain of the boat are still missing at sea.

The Police Search and Rescue Centre has now revealed that the  Fiji Navy received a call from a Captain Randell about a fibreglass boat that capsized boat near Makogai Island yesterday morning.

The Navy is also assisting with the search.
