For 25-year-old Louis Ova, modeling is not about popularity but it is about supporting his family.
Ova who is originally from Tonga will be showcasing some of the Pacific’s best designs at Fiji Fashion Week this Friday and Saturday.
The Actor, Model and Stuntman recalls struggling to make ends meet while studying in New Zealand, where he also found out that his partner was expecting their first child.
Ova says through modeling, he was able to put food on the table for his family back in Tonga adding that this opened a gateway to acting.
The Computer and Information Sciences graduate has been involved as an extra and a stuntman in productions that include Shortland Street, The Shannara Chronicles and recently played a role in the movie "Hibiscus And Ruthless" as a dancer.
Ova adds that he is proud to have made it to the New Zealand Modeling Industry as there are not many Pacific Islanders involved in it.
