The Health Ministry’s Mobile Eye Clinic team is in Naboutini, Navua this week targetting to provide free eye check ups to more than two thousand people.
Coordinator Jovesa Tikomai-lepanoni they are doing screening this week and will conduct surgeries next week.
He adds there is no age limit and parents are encouraged to bring their children if they are facing difficulties with their eye sight.
Tikomai-lepanoni says so far they have provided minor surgeries to two school children.
The clinic has assisted more than 10,000 people and dispensed more than 1,000 eye glasses.
They have also conducted more than 4,000 cataract surgeries in the last three years over the country.
