The Fiji Police Force has not ruled out the suggestion that the Russian couple who were reported missing earlier this month could have left the country.

Police Chief of Intelligence and Investigations, ACP Luke Navela says they are exploring all avenues to find out what happened to the missing couple.

Several items were found in the couple’s land cruiser at Natadola Road, Sigatoka.

This included the woman’s clothes and a passport.

People who know the couple are being interviewed by police as they await the arrival of the DNA samples from the couple’s relatives to trace whether it has a link between the body parts that were found at Natadola beach.

INTERPOL is liaising with relatives of the couple in Russia.

Police divers will resume their search today.

People are also requested to report to police any citing of items of interest which could be used to form a link to the body parts that have been found.

Another set of human body parts were discovered on Sunday and the remains are now undergoing forensic tests.

A security guard discovered the first set of body parts at Natadola Beach last Friday.

Russian couple, Yuri Shipulin and his wife Natalia have been missing since the 16th of this month.
