Miss Savusavu to deliver message of 'Women Empowerment'

Engaging locally talented women to showcase their work and to be able to use this to generate an income for themselves and their families is the basis of Women Empowerment.

Miss Savusavu Town Council Losalini Baikeirewa hopes to use the platform of the Vodafone Hidden Paradise Savusavu Carnival to drive home the message of Women Empowerment.

The 22-year-old who is a Health Inspector for the Savusavu Town Council says through empowering women to use their talents to generate income can also contribute in a small way to the fight of climate change.

Five contestants will take part in the carnival’s pageant and the winner will represent Savusavu at the Miss Fiji Pageant.

The Vodafone Hidden Paradise Savusavu Carnival will be held from today till Saturday at Narain’s Park.

Tonight is Multi-cultural night and the Queens first public judging will begin at 8.30 tonight.
