Miss Lautoka Market Vendors Association Seini Vukivuki does not want Fiji to be known for being an unhealthy nation.
The 20-year-old who is one of the nine contestants vying for the Miss Sugar City crown hopes to speak about the rise of non-communicable diseases and issues that surround it at this year's Vodafone Sugar Festival at the Churchill Park carnival grounds.
Vukivuki believes that young peoples’ tendency to binge on junk food when studying is an attributing factor to the rise of NCD’s and hopes to encourage young people to turn to healthier alternatives.
Meanwhile, Miss Lautoka City Council, Payal Prasad won the Best Talent Award last night, Prasad also won the Best Research Award earlier this week.
The Queens second public judging will be held tonight.
