Miss Fiji Nanise Rainima has finished in the top three at the Miss Pacific Islands Pageant in Apia.
She was the second runner up and also the first ever Melanesian contestant to win Miss Photogenic.
Rainima has highlighted how she was honored to represent Fiji at the pageant and she also hopes that she has inspired girls in Fiji and all over Melanesia.
She has also thanked everyone for their support and is keen on coming back to Fiji to share what she has learnt.
Meanwhile, Miss Samoa Latafale Auva’a was crowned the Miss Pacific Islands Pageant.
The 20-year-old Law and Music University student from New Zealand also scooped the two main categories for the pageant, best talent and best interview.
Miss Cook Islands, Antonina Browne, was the first runner up, Miss American Samoa, Anneliese Sword was third runner up and Miss Papua New Guinea Grace Nugi was fourth runner up.
Miss Nauru Kauai Oppenheimer won the Miss Internet while Miss Niue, Nina Nemaia was voted Miss Personality, and Miss American Samoa won the National Tourism Award.
The next South Pacific Island pageant will be held in Cook Islands.
