Miss APCO, Nanise Rainima crowned Miss Vodafone Hibiscus 2014

Miss APCO Coatings Nanise Rainima has been reigned the 2014 Vodafone Miss Hibiscus queen at Albert Park last night.

The 22-year-old managed to rise above all the other sixteen queen contestants, shedding happy tears after being announced as this year’s Miss Vodafone Hibiscus Queen.

Rainima acknowledged God, her friends, work colleagues and her parents for their endless support since the beginning of her journey as a queen contestant.

She said that she will use this platform to continue her advocacy on what she believes in that youth have a purpose in life.

Rainima also won the Best research topic award, Miss Personality, Miss People’s Choice and Miss National Tourism.

Meanwhile, Miss Suva City Council Joana Qica walked away as the 1st runner up and the Best Float award, Miss Friends Bar Zaira Begg is the 2nd runner up, Miss Carpenters Neetika Sahai took 3rd runner up and Miss Suva Electric Pauline Simmons is 4th runner up queen contestant.

Miss Fiji Sun Fanifau Spring who raised $39,000.47 won the Miss Charity Award.

Spring said she is passionate about children and she hopes that the money is utilized in improving children’s life through education and health. 

Meanwhile, Hibiscus Chairman Hirdesh Chand said the total funds collected from this year’s Hibiscus will be distributed to charity organizations that need funding assistance. 

Rainima will now represent Fiji in Samoa at this year's Miss South Pacific Pageant in November.
