Ministry signs MOU with Carpenters Hardware

The Ministry of Rural and Maritime Development and National Disaster Management has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Carpenters Hardware Limited for the procurement of housing materials for the rural housing assistance.

Acting Permanent Secretary of Rural and Maritime Development and National Disaster Management, Setareki Tale says this agreement should help meet that high demand and it is necessary for the quick and efficient supply of housing materials.

The MOU sealed a contract with Carpenters Hardware to supply building materials for 24ft by 16ft houses under the Rural Housing Scheme and 18ft by 18ft houses under the Poverty Alleviation Program for a period of two years.

Carpenters Hardware representative says they have indicated their willingness and commitment to work with government in meeting the demand for materials.
