The Ministry of Agriculture is planning to reduce the importation of potatoes from 5-10% in the next few years.
Minister Inia Seruiratu says in 2014 the agriculture sector imported 21,972 tonnes of potatoes at the value of $30.9 million while in 2015 - 20,317 tonnes of potatoes at the cost of $27 million were imported from Australia and New Zealand.
