Ministry of Women uses $160K grant for older persons last year

The Ministry of Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation has used about $160,000 grant for the older persons last year.

Minister Rosy Akbar says that this grant is for the senior citizens trust and homes excluding the 3 residential homes that they have.

Akbar says this year they have been allocated $200,000 grant for the National Council of Older Persons.

She adds this grant will be given to trusts and organisations based on their needs.

Akbar also says they will fully utilise their grant.
