The Ministry of Health is urging the youth to be responsible and to make the right decisions after the Coca Cola Games.
Assistant Minister for Health Veena Bhatnagar said a few weeks and months after this big event, the Ministry notices a sharp increase in unplanned teenage pregnancies, Sexually Transmitted Diseases and young women visiting health facilities for urgent contraceptives.
She added that in year 2012 there were 836 cases of teenage pregnancies whereas in 2013 it increased to 1,624.
Bhatnagar stressed that the parents and teachers should play their roles in talking to these teenagers.
