Ministry continues to develop three major areas in Aquiculture

The Department of Fisheries will continue to develop on three major areas in Aquiculture.
Permanent Secretary for Fisheries and Forestry Inoke Wainiqolo said the department is working on the three major areas which are mariculture, Brackish water and Fresh water projects.
Wainiqolo said they have made their submission to the Finance Ministry for the 2015 budget.
He said they have achieved more than 80 percent of the work on 11 projects in Fisheries and nine projects in Forestry and the remaining work will be covered until December.
He said they have almost used up all their funds.
