The Ministry of Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation has been allocated $100,000 for the development of women’s leadership training that will be held in all division throughout the year.
Minister for Women, Rosy Sofia Akbar says the main objective of the training is to provide capacity building for women leaders.
Akbar says the training is also aimed at enhancing women’s participation and leadership in various spheres of social interaction and decision.
Akbar says the Ministry is partnering with Secretariat of the Pacific (SPC) Regional Rights Resource Team (RRRT) Pacific Leadership Program to provide a comprehensive leadership training workshop.
She adds the SPC and the Ministry are expected to sign a Memorandum Of Understanding this month that will signal a close working relationship between both agencies.
