Minister for Women officially launches 2019 National Women’s Expo

The Minister for Women Mereseini Vuniwaqa has officially launched the National Women’s Expo at the International Women’s Day celebrations last night.

Vuniwaqa also revealed that women at last year’s 3 day expo were able to generate a total income of $438,696.20 and she hopes that this amount will increase at this year’s expo.

Vuniwaqa says that after last year Women’s Expo, the Ministry also awarded 170 women with the Fiji Made Brand.

Vuniwaqa says that they are also be putting together a training package for licensed women and the 20 designers for the Fiji Rural Women’s Fashion Show to improve the standard at this year’s expo.

The Fiji National Women’s Expo 2019 will be held from the 12th -14th of June at the FMF Gymnassium.
