Minister, Parveen Bala’s case has been adjourned to the 21st of July as the DPP lawyer was not present in court when the matter was called.
The DPP lawyer was attending another matter at the Lautoka High Court.
A Police Prosecutor appearing on instructions from the Office of the DPP requested the Magistrate to have the matter stood down in order to allow the DPP lawyer to attend however the request was refused by the Magistrate.
Bala is charged with dangerous driving occasioning death.
The trial date will be set in the next hearing.
