Head teachers and principals in Methodist run schools around the country have been urged to improve their standards.
General Secretary for the Methodist of Fiji, Reverend Epeneri Vakadewavosa says church executives have raised concerns after receiving reports of some the Methodist run schools.
He says the Methodist Church in Fiji will ensure their schools are examples of holistic education.
Vakadewavosa says the marks of students in external examinations and their behaviour outside school paint a clear picture for what they are learning.
He says the focus seems to have shifted away from providing quality academic and spiritual learning in a holistic educational environment.
